Project Description
This nonprofit nature center outside of Syracuse had a long history of success and sought to build on it through a new strategic plan. My role was to gather essential background information about the organization’s resources and markets, analyze the implications of that information, and facilitate a strategic planning effort that established clear and measurable goals and objectives. The process incorporated a SWOT analysis (Strengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats) I led with a team of outside nature center professionals engaged through the Association of Nature Center Administrators.
