Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center had been open for eight years. The Center’s leadership determined it was time to revisit the original business plan, checking its assumptions, evaluating its achievements, and charting an adjusted course for the future. As a part of this project, I:
- Conducted three focus groups of stakeholders to gather their ideas and perspectives.
- Produced a S.W.O.T. analysis (Strengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats) that included comparisons with similar nature centers around the U.S.
- Facilitated a stakeholder-driven strategic planning process that revisited the basic tenets of the Center, including its mission, vision, guiding principles, goals, and objectives.
- Provided ongoing support to the process.
